The average represented text length$\mathbf{〈}{\mathit{L}}_{\mathit{R}}\mathbf{〉}$as function test text of length${\mathit{L}}_{\mathit{T}}$for nine testers in Experiment 1. For ideal perception this should be an identity $〈L_R〉=L_T$. The experiments show that averages of answers is very close to this prediction and may be correctly described by a linear regression $〈L_R〉=\gamma L_T$, with γ values different for each tester but in all cases close to 1. For each tester we present the value of the linear regression coefficient γ and the coefficient of determination $R^2$. The quality of the linear fits for $〈L_R〉$ was excellent ($R^2>0.98$). On the other hand, the values of γ varied considerably between the testers, which indicates that the errors in answers were quite individual.
