Box office fraud detection. We selected 30 POI of suspected cinemas (A) and another 30 cinema POI as a control group (B). The forecasting error for the control group was small and stable, whereas for the suspected cinema set, there was a sharp increase in the forecasting error from August 25 to September 16 (marked by the grey box). Such an anomaly indicates a high probability of box office fraud.
