Consumer index for commercial areas. (A) The orange line is the monthly consumer index, which is normalized by the mean value of the year 2014, and the Spring Festival is marked by the grey bar. (B) Monthly year-over-year growth rate. The consumer index generally climbed during the summer holiday (July and August) and before the Spring Festival (December and January) and decreased during the Spring Festival (February). The year-over-year growth rate fluctuated, with more dips below zero than spikes over time, indicating that the consumer index trend decreased.
