Panels (a) and (b) show the probability that a user collects an item when its exposure (the number of the user’s friends who have already collected it) is at least N for the Yelp and artificial data, respectively. Panels (c) and (d) show the probability that a user collects an item when its normalized exposure is at least n. Here (and in the following figures) shaded areas indicate the standard error on the mean computed over ten realizations.
