Topics in housing-related decisions that change abruptly and contribute to disruption in 2016. We show the weights of each topic (blue line) and their contribution to the Kullback-Leibler (KL) divergence (red bars) over the years preceding 2016, where there is an important disruption in the content of decisions (Fig. 4). We show the top-5 topics with the highest contribution to the KL divergence in the selected period for both word (A) and legislation topics (B). Topic weights correspond to topic distributions at hierarchical level 2 for word topics, and level 1 for legislation topics. While the weight shows the relative importance a topic has in a given year, the KL contribution shows the extent to which the importance of a topic is different from the year before. We show the evolution for all topics in the same hierarchical level in Figs. S9-10 in Additional file 1. The words and law articles associated to each of these topics can be found in Additional file 7 and 8, respectively
